General description :

Chaloklum beach itself is 2.5 km long, with a small village and pier in the middle.

Colourful, long-tail fishing boats moor along the immediate shoreline while Chinese-style wooden restaurants, villas and shophouses line the main street.

The pier is one of Koh Phangan’s favourite fishing locations.

The surrounding mountains and hills create shelter from the wind, creating perfect conditions for relaxing.

The maritime roots have encouraged several dive schools to locate here and there are numerous dive and snorkelling sites nearby.

It is also easy enough to walk around the coastline or – for an island experience – boat taxis run regularly from the pier in Chaloklum to Bottle Beach.

Every sunday, there is also a nice and diverse street food market at Chaloklum, from around 6pm to 9pm
