Haad Yao is one of Koh Phangan’s most beautiful beaches. It has a wide stretch of sand, with lots of shallow water and swaying palms. Facing west, it also enjoys wonderful sunsets. Flanked at either end by huge granite rocks, it's home to several resorts. You’ll find good restaurants on this beach, few shops, a supermarket, and massage facilities at its northern end. It's also a perfect place to relax for families with kids, couples, or friends.
